Category I – under 12

Preliminary Stage : Program max 10 min : recording on YouTube
It is compulsory to record the following pieces :

Moszkowski Etude in G major op. 91 nr 7 or in C major nr 14

Mazurka in C-sharp minor op.6 no 2 or Mazurka in B flat major op.7 no 1 or Mazurka in a minor op. 17 no 4

 It is compulsory to perform one piece from each group:

1. F. Chopin – Polonaises written in Chopin’s youth:

Polonaise in G minor, or
Polonaise in B flat major, or
Polonaise in A flat major.

2. F. Chopin – The Waltzes, one of the following:

Waltz in E major opus posthumous
Waltz in E minor opus posthumous, or
Waltz in A flat major opus posthumous, or
Waltz in E flat major opus posthumous.

3. F. Chopin – Prelude in E minor op. 28 No 4,
Prelude in H minor op. 28 No 6, or
Nocturne in C minor opis posthumous, or
Nocturne in C sharp minor opus posthumous

4. Any composition by Frederic Chopin except the ones mentioned above. The duration of the composition should not exceed 6 minutes. 

Category II – under 15

It is compulsory to record the following pieces :
One Etude and Nocturne of the program below.

It is compulsory to perform one work from each group:

1. One Chopin’s Etude op. 10 nr 5, 7, 9, 12 or op. 25 nr 1, 2 ,3
Or
One Liszt Etude op.1
Or
One Moszkowski’s Etude op 72 nr 1, 2, 6
Or
One Mendellshon’s Etude op. 104B

1. One Impromptu or of the following:

Polonaise in C sharp minor op 26 No 1
Polonaise in C minor op. 40 No 2
Polonaise in D minor op. 71 No 1
Polonaise in B flat major op. 71 No 2

Polonaise in B flat minor opus posthumous

2. One of the following Chopin’s Nocturnes:

Nocturne in B flat minor op. 9 No 1
Nocturne in E flat major op. 9 No 2

Nocturne in G minor op. 15 No 3
Nocturne in B major op. 32 No 1

3. One of the following Chopin’s Waltzes:

Category III – under 18

Preliminary Stage : Program max 15 min : recording on YouTube

It is compulsory to record the following pieces :
One Etude, Nocturne and any of following pieces mentioned in the program of the competition

It is compulsory to perform two etudes : one from each group, one the compositions mentioned in point 2.

1. One Ballad, or Scherzo, or Barcarole in F sharp major op. 60, or
Fantasy in F minor op. 49, or Polonaise – Fantasia in A flat major op. 61.

2. A series Mazurkas of the following opuses:
6, 7, 17, 24, 30, 33, 41, 50, 56, 59, 63.

3. One Polonaise from the following opuses:
26, 40, 44, 53
